E & H LOSE HOME RECORD

LEPSFL - Div 2

Eccleston & Heskin 0 Lea Celtic 1

E & H lost suffered their first home league defeat of the season and for almost a year against the hoops from Lea.

The home side had the best of the opening exchanges and came close with efforts from Darren Thompson and Peter Williams. However in the 28th minute against the run of play Lea took the lead when Jeff Hamer finished strongly,.

Although E & H continued to create chances they failed to convert any and Lea always looked dangerous going forward.

The second half was much of the same with the home side having more of the play without mangaing to get the equaliser. Adam Turner came close with a great shot which hit the bar and Chris Hurst also came close. However it was not to be and the home record sadly came to an end.
